Volunteers
Meet Our Volunteers!

At All Mentees On Board (A.M.O.B.), our volunteers are the heart of our movement. We are incredibly proud of the dedicated individuals who give their time, energy, and love to support our girls. Our volunteer team is made up of parents, neighborhood residents, friends, family members, and community advocates who believe in our mission and show up consistently to make a difference.

Volunteers help create the safe, structured, and empowering environment that A.M.O.B. is known for. Whether assisting with programming, supporting events, mentoring, preparing materials, or helping behind the scenes, their presence strengthens everything we do. Our girls benefit not only from structured curriculum but from seeing adults in their own community model commitment, leadership, and service.

What It Takes to Become an A.M.O.B. Volunteer
Because we work directly with youth, we maintain high standards to ensure safety, professionalism, and accountability. Individuals interested in volunteering with A.M.O.B. must:
-
Complete a volunteer application
-
Participate in an interview or orientation
-
Agree to uphold A.M.O.B.’s code of conduct and child protection policies
-
Commit to reliability, professionalism, and positive engagement with youth

Required Pennsylvania Clearances
To comply with Pennsylvania state law and protect the children we serve, all volunteers who have direct contact with youth must obtain the following clearances:

-
PA State Police Criminal History Check (Act 34)
-
PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
-
FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114) – required if the volunteer has not been a continuous Pennsylvania resident for the past 10 years
-
If a volunteer has lived in Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years, they may submit a signed disclosure statement in place of the FBI fingerprint clearance, in accordance with state guidelines.
-
All clearances must be current in accordance with Pennsylvania law (typically renewed every five years).
At A.M.O.B., we do not take lightly the responsibility families place in our hands. Our volunteers understand that they are not just helping with a program—they are helping shape young lives. To every parent, neighbor, friend, and family member who chooses to serve alongside us: we thank you. Your dedication makes our impact possible.
