A.M.O.B. Girls Work Too

The A.M.O.B. Center is a safe, welcoming, and resource-rich space designed to meet the immediate and long-term needs of our students and community. The Center offers access to essential supports such as showers, a washer and dryer, clean undergarments, and feminine hygiene products—ensuring dignity, comfort, and confidence for our girls. For those facing food insecurity or unexpected circumstances, the Center provides quick emergency meals and snacks, so no student has to go without.

In addition to basic needs, the A.M.O.B. Center supports academic and emotional growth through homework assistance, reliable WiFi, and in-person counseling services. It also serves as a positive after-school and after-hours hangout space where girls can relax, feel safe, and build healthy peer connections. Creative outlets such as art expression activities allow students to process emotions, build self-confidence, and explore their talents. Together, these services make the A.M.O.B. Center a critical hub for stability, support, and empowerment—helping our girls show up as their best selves at school, at home, and in life.
A.M.O.B. Work Too Skilled Courses
The A.M.O.B. Girls Work Too Program is a 6-week paid summer workforce and empowerment program designed to prepare girls for real-world success through hands-on learning and mentorship. This summer, A.M.O.B. is accepting 60 participants to develop new skills, gain work experience, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Participants will learn hands-on and transferable work skills, take part in internships and part-time job opportunities, and receive a paid 6-week stipend, along with daily lunch and snacks. The program focuses on career readiness, financial literacy, communication, professionalism, and life skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Following a successful program last year—with participants earning certifications, increasing confidence, and transitioning into jobs or continued opportunities—Girls Work Too returns with an expanded lineup of classes. This summer’s offerings include financial literacy, customer service, resume writing, marketing, AI automation, mental health first aid, CPR, typing, community engagement, beauty and creative skills, and more.
Girls Work Too is more than a summer program—it’s an investment in skills, confidence, and future opportunities. Stay tuned for enrollment dates!
