The program blends academic enrichment, recreation, social-emotional learning, and hands-on activities to support growth and prevent summer learning loss. Camp includes team building, creative projects, outdoor play, and enrichment experiences designed to keep students active, confident, and connected while families have consistent, reliable support throughout the summer.

Life Skills & Social-Emotional Learning Workshops

A.M.O.B.’s Life Skills & Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Workshops are designed to equip youth with the practical tools they need to navigate everyday life with confidence, self-control, and healthy decision-making. These sessions focus on building emotional intelligence and strengthening the “real-world” skills that support success at home, in school, in friendships, and in the community.

Workshop topics include communication and healthy expression, conflict resolution, anger management, emotional regulation, stress and anxiety coping strategies, goal setting, self-care, problem-solving, and responsible decision-making. Youth also learn skills around peer pressure, boundaries, respectful relationships, accountability, and how to respond to challenges without shutting down, lashing out, or giving up.

Family Engagement & Support Services

A.M.O.B. believes strong families support strong students. Family Engagement & Support Services include regular communication, parent workshops, community resources, and referrals when needed. The goal is to strengthen the connection between home and program, support parents and caregivers, and ensure families feel informed, supported, and involved in their child’s development.
